November FMQ Challenge
First I have to say "I love Sarah!", with that said, I love spirals. On this sandwich that I started during another month, I continued to do the spirals. Some are really wonky. However, by design. lol
I did take Sarah's class this summer and learned to do spirals. I tried to continue on the sandwiches I made for that class, forgetting what a horrible time I had using them. I made the mistake of using flocked material that I had been given. Looks pretty, however, my machine does not like it for FMQ.
Two days ago I decided to finish up this assignment and move on. I did move, or rather my chair moved. It slid out from under me. My butt hit the floor, however, it was my knees that hurt for two days. All better today.(Rug is now under chair and cushion is Velcro attached.) After spending an hour trying to get the tension adjusted, then figuring out it was the bobbin that needed to be re-threaded, I decided to just submit what I had already finished.
I will continue to use spirals.

October Challenge
Terri Lucas' tutorial was great, easy to understand and looks super too. Would have thought I could make a go of this one. However, something got in the way. A beautiful baby boy named Adrian. He is my Great Grandson. Named after his Grand Mother Adria, who is named after her Great Grandfather Adrian.

September FMQ
September's FMQ was very challenging for me. Going over stitching to travel is not my finest moment. Practice does help. I did this four times. You would think each one would be an improvement. Not the case. The one I chose to publish is the first one I did. New machine so there was a learning curve. Still trying to get everything set properly depending on the feet I am using. The BSR was used on this one. Stitches are too small for me. Working on that. So here it is!!

Road Trip
Took a short trip to Chandler, AZ. Long story..... However, I did pickup this little gem along the way.
Thought I would share. A little sewing kit. How precious.

April FMQ Project
Ok, this was more difficult for me. I obviously can't sew a straight line or a "free motion" straight line.
I did go over the lines several times. I was able to stay on the line most of the time....in spots.
Baby Sally probably won't use the tule method again. I find as a painter just using transfer paper works better for me. The tutorial was great. Enjoyed it very much. Here is my FMQ for April.

FEB FMQ
Just noticed I had not posted my Feb Feathers. Nothing to write home about, however I do want to keep a record.
After struggling without the proper tools, I ordered the things I need to give myself a change to succeed. Thanks Leah Day for putting them all together for us.

March FMQ
Since last I posted I've been to Vegas and Hawaii.
Really enjoyed this lesson. Mine is more than a little strange. However, I did not want to miss the
posting deadline.

Fun on the Road 2 California
It was so much fun attending Sarah Vedeler's two day class at the Road. I almost finished
my Pillow Top.
I have my machine setup for FMQ. So I still want to play with that for a few days
before I finish the embroidery. Loved the class. Love Sarah. She has brought a whole
new world to embroidering on quilts.
These are Sarah's Pillows. Hope to make them all. You can get her embroidery software on her site.
www.SarahVedelerDesigns.com Many more designs. Plus the awesome Be Dazzled Quilt Software!
All for now. Hope to go back to the Road in Ontario, CA. Sunday. See you there.

Sewing little squares and trianges together. Going to be very "scraby" I believe the word it. All pieces my Mom cut to use somewhere or just that right piece to finsh that corner. Who knows. Funny project. Lots of memories coming up.
The pieces are shown below using the Accuquilt to square up. Rotory cutting is another option.

Resizing little pieces with Strip Die by Accuquilt
Really made the job easy. Mom left me all these
beautiful "almost" square pieces. Now they are
squared up.
FMQ January Leaves
Oh this was way too much fun. My leaves are all over
the place. Much more practice needed. I won't mind!!
